Did You Know That Marketing Strategy Is An Ongoing Activity, Not A One-And-Done Thing?
Keep it agile and relevant if we want to have a great strategy.
When I first experienced the world of marketing hands-on, I naively had this noob conclusion believing that creating a brilliant marketing strategy was akin to crossing the finish line in a marathon. I seriously thought that the starting line was the process of transferring the ideation into a note, organising them into something that makes a lot of sense and making everything structured and practical. Then, I merely have to ensure that I put the final nail in the coffin and conclude the final version of it. And then, once the plan was in place and executed to perfection, my job was complete. Little did I know that marketing is not a one-time task, but a continuous journey. There is no end to this journey as I need to keep on improvising things within the strategy.
Over time, I’ve come to understand that the most successful marketing strategies are those that evolve, adapt, and remain relevant in an ever-changing landscape. Like many newcomers to the field, back then I used to think that marketing was about setting a clear goal, solving something, devising a strategy to make it happen, and executing it to perfection.
