Here’s Why This “Learn To Trust Your Team, Do Not Micro-Manage” Statement Will Remain A Good Theory But Not Practical
It takes something special for a company to trust their team and not micromanage them.
Don’t ask me how I know this. I just know. It comes from both experiences and observations of course. I’ve worked with a number of companies since 2014 on marketing strategy and I saw a number of good dramas. Out of 20 companies I met, only one company trusts their team members. The rest, their modus operandi are all a yes-boss company.
Yes, it is a good theory but it’s not practical due to many reasons. Interesting isn’t it? It is. Let’s dig in on the reasons. There are three main ones actually.
Our leader is God
I came across this company back in 2021. It is a decent-sized company with a deep-pocket holding company behind them. Here, the money is not an issue at all. Since the company is doing well in what they do, and the CEO also had a solid background of being the formerly number two guy in a now-defunct US-based conglomerate with a worldwide presence, the team members can’t question the boss.
