If You Are Too Dependent On Social Media To Build Your Voice, You Are Heading For A Disaster
It’s time to balance your game with the search engine’s side.
I’m talking from my experience dealing with multiple organisations and professionals here as a marketing strategist. And I’ve seen mistakes made and how time-consuming was the effort to neutralise the situation. Yeah, I know social media is the easiest route to build awareness but if you are zooming just on it, you’re not optimising your awareness strategy well.
This reckless approach could potentially lead you to disasters. Hear me out. I didn’t say that you need to stop ‘playing’ on social media. All I’m saying here is if you are too focused on just one area to push stuff you have, you are going to miss out on other market segments where your potential customers are hanging out at. That’s right, you could miss an opportunity to tap into potential customers who are not always on social media.
You also need to remember, social networking platforms are full of algorithms. Obviously, you can’t beat their algorithms.
