I’ve been in the marketing industry since 1997. Before that, I studied marketing for my Bachelor’s Degree for close to 6 years. So for more than 26 years, I’ve seen enough, read enough, experienced enough and talked to enough people to share my take on this topic. And I want to give it straight to you.

You know, the irony part of being a seasoned Marketing Strategist is that I keep on stumbling upon the same mistakes over and over again despite the fact that the very same mistakes were made before by a number of failed brands that closed their shops years back. These mistakes aren’t really marketing-related—more like business direction missteps. Only a minor portion is pretty much related to marketing and even then those challenges are common sense that you don’t actually need an expert to figure them out.

You know, the market out there is no longer stupid. The people no longer just swallow the information being fed to them. They just know.
